10 General Resources - This would be for websites and other resources that are too comprehensive or too general to fit into any of the categories listed below.
8 Link Archives - These websites have large lists of other websites, often arranged into easy to navigate categories.
5 Lesson Plans - Here you will find archives of ideas for lessons and activities.
6 Theme Units - This is for websites that group resources by themes or topics, often more common at the elementary levels.
2 Search Engines - These websites allow you to search the internet based on criteria you type in.
8 Reference Sites - This would be a good place to include encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographical databases, and more.
1 Online Quizzes and Tests - Here you can include websites that allow users to take quizzes and tests on the web, many times sending the results back to the teacher.
4 Online Games and Activities - This is where you will find links to sites that allow students to play educational games right in their web browser. Many times these activities require a relatively new version of Netscape or Internet Explorer.
1 Software Archives - Here you can find freeware and shareware that can be downloaded to your computer and used as any other program.
4 Multimedia Sites - This is where you can get good images, clipart, animations, and sounds.
19 Teacher Helpers - Here you will find tools to make your job a little easier, such as online certificate makers, wordsearch and puzzle creators, various templates, and more.
3 Online Journals, Digests, Newsletters - Here you will be able to read professional information related to teaching, perhaps based on grade level or content area.
2 Proficiency Test Resources - Here you will find information about the proficiency tests, including sample tests to use.
4 Webquests and Online Projects - These sites will contain archives of online projects such as webquests, which are Internet based activities where students can learn about a topic by visiting web pages and doing research.
5 Technology Help - This is for techology tutorials, help guides, activities, and lesson plans, covering topics such as Internet use, Email, Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and hardware.
